When to use it
Uploads that only take JPG
When a form, portal, or marketplace rejects PNG, convert the file and move on instead of fighting the upload box.
Smaller files for photos
PNG stores every pixel losslessly, which is why screenshots of photos come out huge. A JPG copy of a photo is typically several times smaller with no visible difference.
Whole batches at once
Select up to 10 PNG images and convert them in one pass instead of one by one.
Converted where your files already are.
The conversion runs entirely on your device. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is stored, and the original PNG files stay exactly where they are.
Quality is under your control. The default 90 keeps images looking sharp while staying small enough to email or upload. Turn it up for prints, down for quick shares.
One honest note: JPG has no transparency, so a transparent background becomes solid white. And JPG is lossy, so a PNG you re-save as JPG repeatedly will degrade a little each time. Keep the PNG as your master copy.
Working with WebP or AVIF files too? The WebP to JPG converter and the AVIF to JPG converter work exactly the same way.
Frequently asked questions
Is this PNG to JPG converter free?
Yes. Free, no account, no watermark, no daily cap.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. Your browser decodes the PNG and encodes the JPG locally, so the conversion happens entirely on your device. The files never leave your computer.
Will the quality drop?
You control it with the quality slider. At the default setting the difference is not visible in normal use. The original files are never modified.
What happens to transparent backgrounds?
JPG has no transparency, so a transparent area becomes solid white. If you need the transparency kept, the PNG itself is already the right format; converting it would only lose that.
Why was my PNG so big to begin with?
PNG is a lossless format, so it stores every pixel exactly. That is perfect for screenshots and graphics with flat colors, and expensive for photographs. The JPG copy trades that perfection for a much smaller file.
How many files can I convert at once?
Up to 10 PNG files per batch, each up to 50 MB. Run the tool again for more.
